 == Proceedings: ==    (021)

[08:06] MichaelGruninger: just finished the Analysis and Design Task
Force meeting where I presented the slides    (022)

[08:07] TillMossakowski: sorry, I cannot hear Michael at all. Terry, can you?    (023)

[08:08] MichaelGruninger: The suggestion is to put this forth afor a
ballot at the December meeting    (024)

[08:08] TillMossakowski: good    (025)

[08:08] MichaelGruninger: We will need to have a new version completed
four weeks prior to that    (026)

[08:08] TerryLongstreth: Just vocal noises    (027)

[08:08] TillMossakowski: same for me    (028)

[08:08] TillMossakowski: Michael, your voice connection seems not to work    (029)

[08:08] TillMossakowski: could we fallback to the chat?    (030)

[08:09] MichaelGruninger: I will try to use the chat (although it is
not reliable either)    (031)

[08:10] TillMossakowski: OK    (032)

[08:10] ChristophLange: Sorry I'm late, but probably just in time ;-)    (033)

[08:11] TillMossakowski: we mainly have to use the chat, because we
cannot properly hear Michael    (034)

[08:11] MichaelGruninger: There were two main comments from the
meeting -- 1. We will need to discuss Prior Art, that is, we need to
show people that this is not a research project. Thus, we need to
provide definitions for all of our concepts with citations to the
papers where the formal definitions are introduced    (035)

[08:11] TillMossakowski: OK. But these papers can be research papers?    (036)

[08:11] MichaelGruninger: Comment 2: We need to be more precise about
conformance criteria. These need to be testable, so that we can
demonstrate that what we eventually propose does in fact meet the
requirements    (037)

[08:12] MichaelGruninger: @Till: Yes, we can cite research papers (in
fact it is preferable) as prior art    (038)

[08:12] TillMossakowski: good    (039)

[08:13] MichaelGruninger: Issue 3: We should have a discussion which
connects the use cases with the relevant requirements    (040)

[08:13] TerryLongstreth: I'm sure that most of the related work at
Bremen would be applicable    (041)

[08:13] TillMossakowski: which criteria in the OntoIOp RFP are
considered to be not testable?    (042)

[08:13] TillMossakowski: if I compare our RFP to the API4KB RFP I
cannot see the difference in testability...    (043)

[08:14] MichaelGruninger: @Till: It is a question of the level of
detail. Everyone believes that the requirements are n principle
testable, but the document needs to be sufficiently detailed to
present them    (044)

[08:15] TillMossakowski: so this point applies to all our criteria,
all of them should become more detailed?    (045)

[08:15] ChristophLange: Or, @Michael, were there concrete concerns
about specific criteria?    (046)

[08:19] MichaelGruninger: In OMG documents, Section 6.1 sets the Scope
and Use Cases. With Section 6.5, we set the requirements explicitly    (047)

[08:19] TillMossakowski: yes, but aren't we doing this already?    (048)

[08:20] TerryLongstreth: the last sentence in 6.1 could be turned into
a good capstone requirement statement for 6.5    (049)

[08:20] TillMossakowski: OK    (050)

[08:21] TillMossakowski: sorry, Michael, I can only small pieces of your audio    (051)

[08:22] TillMossakowski: so Michael, do you have the feeling that you
have enough information to guide us through the RFP revision process?    (052)

[08:23] MichaelGruninger: This connection is impossible -- even the
chat gets disconnected    (053)

[08:23] MichaelGruninger: @Till -- yes, we have enough information to
proceed. Overall, there is a positive response -- people just want to
be careful with the details    (054)

[08:24] TerryLongstreth: Suggest: "Responsive proposals for this RFP
shall provide a meta language for interoperability among logical
theories, with a well-defined semantics and model theory."    (055)

[08:25] TillMossakowski: Great that you got this positive feedback,
Michal. To sum up: we cannot do any immediate action for the OMG
meeting now, but we use the next two months to revise the RFP, and
then it will hopefully be issued in December.    (056)

[08:26] MichaelGruninger: @Till -- Exactly.    (057)

[08:27] MichaelGruninger: Since this connection is so poor, I am going
back to the OMG session. I will send a detailed summary in the next
few days    (058)

[08:28] TillMossakowski: OK. Many thanks Michael!    (059)
