Folks,
Nancy Weigand, one of our members, has proposed that their research group is interested and have INTEROP funds (INTEROP is NSF-funded, mainly to support the
Spatial Ontology Community of Practice [SOCoP]) to do a workshop in Madison, Wisconsin say, Mon-Tues, June 2-3. It would be good if discussion would be related to geospatial data, though many techniques for other kinds of data and other domains could be relevant.
Given that the ISWC workshop proposal didn't get accepted, would people maybe want to have a meeting to present topics and discuss? This would be informal.
There's not time to do papers. The funds wouldn't extend far to include people out of the country, and so she was mainly thinking of people in the U.S. In any case, she would like to know if this is an idea the SWAO SIG might be interested in?
What do people think of Nancy’s kind offer? Would this be something that the SWAO SIG would like to do and participate in?
Thanks,
Leo
