Seventy second meeting of the IAOA Executive Council (EC) Virtual Meeting

The EC has discussed the FOIS 2014 organization and decided to proceed with the
tradition of having two Program Chairs covering two different areas. Two
candidates for these positions have been selected. These people will be
contacted soon by the FOIS General Chair. (011)
The status of the relationship between the Vespucci Initiative and IAOA has
been addressed including the visibility of IAOA in co-organized initiatives.
Regarding the Summer Institute 2013, co-organized by the IAOA, the EC discussed
about the costs the association can cover and possible scholarships. The IAOA
will need certain figures of the school budget to make a decision. The
President will bring all these issues up with W. Kuhn and the Education
Committee until the next EC meeting. (012)

The EC looked at the membership renewal status. Reminders will be sent to
members. (014)
The status of the Advisory Board has been considered. The list of A.B. members
needs to be updated, including the A.B. mailing list. (015)
The EC was updated on the status of the Ontology Summit 2013 on "Ontology
Evaluation Across the Ontology Lifecycle", meetings in these weeks focus on
"intrinsic" and "extrinsic" evaluation. (016)
