The IAOA Summer Institute will be organized by the IAOA and the Vespucci
Initiative as in 2011. The organization is proceeding, the title and scope will
be made public at the next EC meeting. (011)
Regarding the next FOIS event. One proposal is to held the event in October
2014 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The proposal is for the fall since in summer
2014 the World Cup is in Brazil. There is a related proposal to also hold the
IAOA Summer School just before FOIS in Victoria (Brazil). A second proposal is
to held FOIS in France in summer 2014.
The organizers are looking into the details. A final decision will be made
within 10 days. (012)
The EC was informed by the status and agenda of different SIGs. (013)
The EC discussed the ways in which the association can fund supported and SIGs
event, if requested.
S. Borgo, M. Gruninger, G. Guizzardi and L. Vieu will prepare some
recommendations and guideline and bring them to the EC for discussion. (014)
The EC decided to support the participation of Anthony Galton (by funding his
traveling) to the Shape 2.0 event in Rio de Janeiro 2013 as an IAOA outreach
activity. (015)
The EC was informed about the "Ontology-based Standards" mini-series, which is
an IAOA committee (co-)organized event coordinated by M. Gruninger and P. Yim.

Since there are several candidates, the EC will select the new President,
Secretary and Vice-president via secret ballot (as prescribed in the statute).
The election of the President will be held during the next EC meeting (n.69),
and election of the Secretary and Vice-president at the meeting after that
