The EC verified everything is ready for the ballot on the 2012 financial
statement and the new version of the Statute.
The IAOA Extraordinary Assembly for the ballot is held as a virtual meeting
from May 6 to May 12. The Vice President has announced the ballot to the
members via the IAOA mailing list. The announcement and the information is on
the web site.
The President will send an invitation to vote. Casting a vote counts as
attendance to the virtual meeting. The Assembly will be valid if 50% +1 of the
members vote. The EC invites everybody to participate and to vote. (09)
2012 FOIS Conference: the EC has been updated on the situation by the FOIS
General Chair in particular regarding expense reimbursement and grants. The IOS
Press has announced that it will fund the best paper award. During FOIS there
will be the IAOA Assembly meeting (face to face meeting): the IAOA physical
Assembly will be held at FOIS on July 25 at 17:30 - 19:30. (010)
As announced earlier, the IAOA Summer School registration call received very
enthusiastic responses. The organizers looked for a larger room to provide a
few more seats (about 10). The registration will close as soon as these are
also filled. People interested in attending should register quickly. Students
awarded a grant have been informed. (011)
The EC needs to organize the process for the EC election. The election will
follow the schema of the 2010 election.
The EC will soon be appointing an election committee. (012)
