The EC has discussed how to efficiently manage the different tasks that are
discussed at the EC meetings and that require further action. The IAOA has
several running initiatives and needs a reliable way to track how the different
tasks progress. The EC has decided to explore a software to collect the tasks,
to assign each to a EC member and to regularly monitor how tasks proceed.    (010)

The EC discussed the proposal by the treasurer for reduced IAOA registration
fees. There will be four categories of countries: High, Medium-high, Medium and
Low income countries. The classification is taken by the UN and the World's
Bank. The official reduced fees will be adopted in the registration form for
2011.    (011)

The EC thanks the Education Committee and Summer school subcommittee for the
work done in organizing the IAOA summer Institute. In the last period new
sponsors joined the initiative with a positive impact on the registration fees.
The announcement of the IAOA summer Institute has been sent out this week. The
application website will open around December 15, notification of acceptance
will be sent on mid of April. IAOA members and friends are asked to distribute
the call to individuals and groups that might have interest in participating.
Information will be added in the IAOA web page.    (012)

The EC members that participated to the "Ontology Summit 2011 core co-organizer
meeting" reported to the EC. A community-wide brainstorm and planning session
for Ontology Summit 2011 will be hosted on Ontolog Forum (virtual panel
discussion session) is scheduled for Thu 16-Dec-2010 (18:30 UTC - worldclock:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=12&day=16&year=2010&hour=10&min=30&sec=0&p1=224).
IAOA members are encouraged to participate and help shape the next Ontology
Summit, which IAOA is co-organizing.    (013)

The IAOA registration website is now taken offline to upload the registration
form for 2011 and to implement the changes in the IAOA fees. It is expected to
be back online around the middle of next week when the 2011 registration period
will start.    (014)

(End of Report)    (015)
