Subject: Inaugural Electronic Health Record seminar Friday Feb 4
The Stanford Center for Clinical Informatics is pleased to announce the inaugural seminar in the 2005 Electronic Health Record (EHR) Seminar Series which will be held on Friday February 4 at 9 AM in the Clark Center Auditorium at Stanford University.
The inaugural speaker will be David Brailer MD, PhD, appointed by President Bush as the first National Health Information Technology Coordinator. Dr. Brailer's duties are to execute the actions ordered by the President in the Executive Order that he issued on April 27, 2004, which called for widespread deployment of health information technology within 10 years to help realize substantial improvements in safety and efficiency. Dr. Brailer is recognized as a leader in the strategy and financing of quality and efficiency in health care, with a particular emphasis on health information technology and health systems management.
