Performance Standard for Ontology Projects: Results-focused Critical Element with Credible Measure(s) Pursues the development and implementation of concepts pertaining to related ontological constructs, as, for example, in the context of the Energy-Water Nexus vis-à-vis the Environment. Project researches new, upgraded and seminal constructs associated with automated and manual tagging and meta-tagging of structured and unstructured information associated with the referenced topic and the topical intersections, including relationships and relators, associated with energy, water and the environment; determines their potential usefulness for stakeholder processes and the Open Government Initiative (OGI); shares knowledge of new developments in the associated ontological knowledge matrix for 2D, 3D and relativistic implementations orally or in writing with Case Study members or others, as appropriate; researches ontological issues, communicating results in various written formats; contributes to discussions with stakeholder staff and managers on ontological topics; writes or oversees the writing of ontology project documentation, including design documents, programmers’ reference manuals, training materials, inputs to the ontology including glossaries, thesauruses, seminal works and topic maps, structure of the ontology, evaluation of “how good is the ontology” issues, feedback loops for improvement of the various pieces of the ontology, and user documentation; communicates about the development and implementation of ontologies associated with, for example, the Energy-Water Nexus vis-à-vis the Environment to simultaneously support 1) semantic interoperability and 2) compliance with the Open Government Directive; manages, coordinates, develops project buy-in, and/or organizes networks of interested parties and communities while implementing a topic-focused public domain ontology; speaks in public about ontological projects; and writes articles for publication concerning ontological projects. Activities contribute to productivity increases.
