While we had kept the momentum on the [[http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OpenOntologyRepository OOR initiative]] going, ever since it begun in early 2008, the overall OOR initiative, has not had any funding even up to now, and had relied totally on volunteered effort (of course, OOR team members may be funded by their own organization to do this work; or there may have been collaborative efforts among individual members to get their work funded, and were successful in doing so.) The progress on OOR could have been more predictable, if the entire initiative, and some of the core work, has some sort of funding to allow it to engage resources to get things done when needed. {nid 3EAO} |
