Dr. Sarkar is a Biomedical Informatician that is actively involved in the development of ontologies for integrating biodiversity and biomedical knowledge. He currently leads the uBio project at the MBLWHOI Library and the Ellison Medical Foundation funded Web portal for the Biology of Aging. Much of his recent work is done within the context of the Encyclopedia of Life project. (1963)
