Dr. Cummens is a consultant in medical informatics with an interest in semantic interoperability and natural language processing. He worked with Northrop Grumman on the DoDs AHLTA and Terminology Service Bureau project. He has extensive experience with SNOMED CT and other medical terminologies. He has also consulted with Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc, Partners Healthcare and on numerous other medical informatics projects. He is a family practice physician by training who first used an electronic medical record in his office in 1988. (174L)
