Dr. Mathias Brochhausen is researcher at the Institute of Formal Ontology and Medical Information Science (IFOMIS), Saarbrücken, Germany since September 2005. He is part of the Institute Management of IFOMIS. Since December 2006 he is Executive Director of the European Consortium of Ontological Research (ECOR). (2TQU)
His expertise is in biomedical, especially clinical ontologies, foundational issues in applied ontology, ontology-driven clinical systems. Mathias Brochhausen holds a PhD (Dr. phil.) and a Masters degree (M.A.) in Philosophy from Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz. Besides Philosophy he has studied Physical Anthropology and Sociology.
