Dr. Line C. Pouchard has been a Staff Scientist in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since 2001, and previously a Post-Doctoral Associate since 1999. She has been a member of the DoD-sponsored Extreme Scale Systems Center at ORNL since 2008. Her activities in this project have focused on metadata and data analytics for computer system health, first for a 22-node HP cluster, and now for the Jaguar Cray XT5. She also mentors undergraduate and graduate interns, several of whom are now pursuing advanced degrees in Computer Science, and have hired at ORNL and other DOE laboratories.    (33BT)

Dr. Pouchard is also leading various efforts implementing semantic and informatics systems in the Earth and Environmental sciences. She is currently developing a semantic search interface for the ORNL DAAC, a NASA-supported data center for terrestrial ecology and biogeochemical processes. She recently co-chaired and organized the Linked Science workshop at the International Semantic Web Conference in Germany. She initiated and led the DataONE Integration and Semantics Working Group. The NSF-sponsored DataONE project is developing infrastructure, strategies, and practices for decades-long sustainable data management, publication, archive, and curation services for the digital data supporting scientific research. She authored more than 40 publications.    (33BU)
